The Full-Charge Bookkeeper position is a rewarding full-time career at Miles & Thirion. You will be producing diversified accounting assignments for both individuals and businesses.
Qualifications:
- Two years minimum accounting and bookkeeping experience including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and financial reporting
- Strong computer skills
- Time management and organizational expertise
- Detail-oriented and able to maintain professionalism under pressure
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to handle confidential and sensitive information
Experience:
- QuickBooks experience is a must
- Prior public accounting experience
Education:
- College coursework in accounting or accounting degree
Responsibilities:
- Verify and enter transaction details into our digital accounting system.
- Use a variety of software to provide accurate and timely monthly financial statements.
- Prepare requested schedules and reports.
- Handle daily accounting mail, including notices and disbursements.
- Prepare payroll and all payroll tax returns.
- Prepare bank reconciliations monthly.
- Research accounts payable and accounts receivable issues as needed.
- Work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks with various deadlines.
- We may also need you to execute some individual tax preparation.
