Qualifications:
- Must have CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license
Experience:
- Proven experience in the public accounting field
- Must have the expertise to review complex tax returns, including individual, corporate, partnership, and S-Corp returns
Education:
- Bachelor’s in accounting, taxation, finance, business, or related field
Responsibilities:
- Build relationships and help clients with tax planning, tax research and compliance.
- Prepare and file federal and state tax documents for businesses and individuals.
- Provide strategies and solutions for possible tax issues.
- Lead multiple accounting projects efficiently.
- Stay current on tax legislation laws.
- Be responsible for scheduling, hiring staff, and managing workflow.
- Have a growth mindset and continually build relationships to bring new clients to our firm.
- Meet time and budget requirements, as well as client deadlines.
- Assist clients in complying with tax legislation.
- Update staff on any new changes in tax legislation.
- Supervise and ensure members of our accounting staff completes returns accurately.
- Mentor, guide staff, and conduct performance appraisals.
- Learn and share our firm’s philosophy and beliefs on financial matters and client relations.
- Communicate with staff and clients in a professional and friendly manner.
- Actively seek continuing education in the accounting field to increase skills.
- Stay up-to-date on national publications, business journals, and IRS public information.
- Research and prepare reports as requested.
Skills:
- Ability to meet deadlines

- Experienced work history as a tax manager
- Excellent leadership and staff management background
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
- Taxation software experience
- Understands and has the ability to explain tax legislation
- Familiar with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Great decision-making skills and critical thinking ability
